Scarlet Macaws are social, but prefer immediate family over large groups. They are eager for attention, affection, play, and training. Need a lot of space for play, and need at least 2-3 hours out of their cage daily. 

Scarlet Macaws are quite loud and flamboyant in nature. Care, training, and frequent handling are absolutely essential to make sure the Scarlet Macaw remains a friendly, affectionate companion that will delight for a lifetime. The Scarlet Macaw is not recommended for the novice bird owner.

DIET: Consists of a pelleted blend, veggies, fruits, nuts, and seeds as treats. A small amount of white meat, such as chicken is occasionally welcomed as well, as is completely cooked egg.
