One of the largest of the parakeet species.
Sexually dimorphic, the males are more brightly colored, and have a collar that is black and fuschia in color. The female lacks these more bold colors.
Can be a fantastic talker if encouraged.
If handled regularly they are very friendly and inquisitive birds that enjoy training.
Very impressive chewers.


DIET: Diet consists of a pelleted blend, veggies, fruits, nuts, and seeds as treats. A small amount of white meat, such as chicken is occasionally welcomed as well, as is completely cooked egg.
